B. - Rates of compensation—Generally.
*Except as provided in this division, employees shall be compensated as follows:
1.
During the first year of service in the city, an employee will be compensated at a rate of ninety percent of the annual or hourly rate set out next to his Title as found in Sections H through L of this division.
2.
During the second year of service in the city, with the same title, commencing with the first day of the next pay period following the completion of one year of such service, an employee will be compensated at a rate of ninety-five percent of the annual or hourly rate set out next to the employee's title as found in Sections H through L of this division.
3.
During the third and all succeeding years of service in the city, with the same title, commencing with the first day of the next pay period following the completion of two years of such service, an employee will be compensated at a rate of one hundred percent of the annual or hourly rate set out next to the employee's title as found in Sections H through L of this division.
4.
In the computations of compensation as provided by this division, annual rates shall be computed to whole dollars with all cents being dropped; hourly rates shall be computed to whole cents with all mills being dropped.
