§ 10.16.171. Operating motorized scooters, skateboards, etc., prohibited.

No person shall operate a motorized scooter, motorized skateboard or other similar motorized vehicle on any public way, street, or sidewalk or on any property owned by the city.

The following vehicles shall be exempt from the provisions of this section: (A) Vehicles licensed by the commonwealth as motor vehicles, (B) Vehicles used by handicapped persons, and (C) Landscaping vehicles and/or equipment.

Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine of one hundred dollars for each offense after a warning for the first offense only.

All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.

The ordinance codified in this section shall take effect upon its passage.
