§ 10.24.030. Heavy commercial vehicles.

A.

The use and operation of heavy commercial vehicles are restricted on those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule VI of this title, in the manner outlined, and during the period of time set forth therein.

B.

This section shall not apply to heavy commercial vehicles going to or coming from places upon such streets or adjoining streets or ways to which access cannot otherwise be gained, or to vehicles of municipal departments or public service corporations having emergency work to do on such streets or adjoining streets, or to the U.S. mail vehicles collecting mail on such streets, or to police and fire department vehicles or to ambulances.

C.

The provisions of this section shall be enforceable against violators only during such times as a sufficient number of official traffic signs are erected at each restricted street.
