§ 13.08.355. Permit required.

  • No person shall construct any sanitary sewer or building sewer or uncover, make any connection with or any opening into, use, alter or disturb any public sewer or appurtenance thereof without first obtaining a permit from the department of public works. Any person proposing a new connection into a public sewer or any person proposing a substantial change in the volume or character of sanitary sewage that is being discharged into a public sewer shall notify the department of public works prior to making the proposed change or connection. The department of public works may hold the request for a period of forty-five days in order to ascertain if more information regarding the character of the sewer and/or sanitary sewage is deemed advisable by the city engineer.
